Vallecitos, 7500 ft. San Pedro Martir Mts.
Lower Calif., Mexico.
June 17.
[day] but the Guanacephalus c. are
plenty in other [illegible]. The large
flocks that were seen constantly
last year are now rarely encountered.
I have come upon two flocks up to
date. The Calif. Condors are also
keeping to themselves, perhaps upon
some inaccessible part of Cuyamaca
Diablo or La Providencia for not
a single one has been seen.
The mole I have been trying to
catch has successfully resisted all
[illegible] by the Remsle method I
refusing to go into the jaws of
the trap but is content to poke a
little dirt over it.
