Gilmore 1920. La Grulla, 7000ft. San Pedro Martin Mts. Lower California, Mexico June 8. Stayed over today at the corral while the stock rested up; our packer looked over the two tracks to Vallecitos. In the lake nearby, I found 6 Pintail Ducks which promptly flew up at my approach after circling around, four of them flew away & two lit again. Cooperating with Tom he managed to get one. At the same time we saw some coots. While sitting in the truck we saw a Pandin [illegible] carolomensis, but although four shots were fired at it, it did not fall. Numerous deer were seen around here by the packer.
