Sparsely with ocotillo, creosote, a kind of saguaro bush that was a sharp thistle and a few cholla. Shot a Buteo borealis calurus, immature from camp. He was perched on an ocotillo and allowed an approach of within up to 60 yds. On the beach I shot a Calidris arenaria. It was feeding on the beach at high tide with another one. The other circled around once and then left, after the shot.
