Weather fair & bright sun set CV, moderate wind with light turbulence. Very heavy shower occurred over Oakland early this morning, with 0.26" rain here; vegetation in the pen pretty well dried off. April 10. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County 1108. Checked pen in Belair lab. Weather: overcast CV with breaks, moderate wind with moderate turbulence. April 11. Berkeley, Alameda County. Left for Carmel Valley, mileage 37,135, at 1015. Arrived Hartnig (37,286) at 1610. Made short trip in ridge area across Greenfield road, continuing till 1705, and extending to grassy area on top of ridge with interspersed brush - poison oak pre-dominant. 1705 Covered area on hill above Davis house until (1735.
