Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. 0614 Took observation post in behavior lab pen. Weather calm, partly ct 6 miles, sky broken CI and CiCu, scld sc on crests of hills, heavy dew, dripping from roof of observation hut. 0640 Sun cleared hills, first sunlight on ground in pen, band of thick clouds partially obscured sun until 0724.
