W.J. Francis 1963 21. Journal March 26 Hastings Reservation Monterey County. Observing in territory of quail covey near houses beginning 05-30 0555 Psychron reading 34.0° 33.5°, 95%. Heavy dew, clear, sky overcast with Ac and As. By 0700 there was a solid As orbat, lightened in east by the sun. Excerpts from Weather Log kept for me by Dr. Keith White: " 7 March. Intermittent showers during late P.M. of 6 March, and evening. 9 March. .05 in. at 8 A.M. after 8 March evening showers. 15 March. Rain 14 March from 3 P.M. to about 9 P.M., 0.39". The rain yesterday was snow at higher altitudes -- top of Red Hill, Arnold Place top of Poison Oak Ridge. There was only a little bit here at Hdqts, and this had melted by morning. A good wind with this storm from the north. 16 March. 8 a.m. Raining 17 March. Rain stopped 16 March about noon, intermittent snow later.
