Canyon, Alameda County. Erect herb
3-4 feet tall, single unbranched
stem in younger specimen, branched
near the top only in the larger.
Distribution: scattered among
other Compositae mostly in
areas formerly with Medicago and Vicia.
Flower heads bright yellow, only
partially opened.
