May 7, 1963. FR-122. Herbaceous plant with long rather stout tap root with prominent nodules. Flowers varicolored blue, white, and purple. On gentle slope, south facing, open grassland with variety of forbs & some shrubs; in the "Willows" area of McMillan Ranch, San Luis Obispo County, Calif. Lupinus FR-123. McMillan Ranch, San Luis Obispo County, same slope location as previous. Herbaceous plant with inflorescence in whorls on central leafless scape, leaves all basal with long (4-5") stems, inflorescence exceeding leaves. Flowers uniform lavender except whitish below. Lupinus
