April 4, 1963. FR-120. Strawberry Canyon Alameda Co. Erect herb up to 3' tall, bright yellow flowers in panicle denser at tip, terminal and axillary. Same location as FR-115. Brassica campestris L. Common Yellow Mustard. FR-121. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. Same location as FR-115. Spreading herb with bright yellow flowers 3/4" in diameter, few leaves linearly dissected. Fruit appears to be cluster of achenes. Many petals & stamens, 5 dull yellow sepals. Ranunculus californicus Benth California Buttercup.
