April 4, 1963 FR-115. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda Co. In 100'x100' enclosed pen in Behavin Lab, gentle SE facing slope recently disturbed incident to construction. Low herb, dense central rosette on ground, a few stems becoming partly erect. Inflorescence terminal or axillary corymbs. Erodium cicutarium FR-116. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda Co. Same location. Prostrate herb many stems radiating from central root, small yellow flowers; legume coiled into a loop. Medicago apiculata Willd. FR-117. Low herb much branched from single tap root, leaves as very long stem-like stalks much ex- ceeding main stems, deeply dissected. Flowers purple, 5-merous, in pairs in axils of leaf stems. Geranium dissectum L. Common geranium.
