FR-III. March 29, 1963. McMillan Ranch. Shrubby herb with foliage in low Dense cluster about 8" tall, with tall fruiting stems 2 to 3 feet tall. These stems dark red, but covered in part or entirely with fine white to- micantum; dead and bearing last years fruit in axils a terminal, solitarily. Foliage light gray-green felted thinly on front & thickly on back with whitish tomentum. Erigonum gracile Benth. FR-112. March 29, 1963. McMillan Ranch Climbing herbaceous vine, young specimen erect without support to 12", others climbing on Golden-bush and Sagebrush. Flowers small, white, axillary in small panicles, soft box-like fruit maturing first at lower parts of stems. Tendrils once or twice branched and opposite light green, glandular leaves; curling into a tight spiral to pro- duce tension or holdfast held with only a few turns. On same hillside as previous specimens; higher, near crest of hill. Echinocystis fabacea var agrestis March fabaceus var agrestis
