W. J. Francis 1964. 64. Journal Nov. 3. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County, at Behavior lab. pen at 0938. Weather clean and calm, ground wet from past rain. Serviced rain gauge, 0.02"; total 2.17". Nov. 9. 0900 at Behavior lab., pen weather overcast with intermittent rain, cloud base at the level of the station, visibility variable 100 yards up. Rain gauge 1.33" total 3.50". Wind variable & gusty, reducing to calm between windy spells. Serviced weather instruments and spread 1 can of grain. Nov. 10. 1000 Serviced rain gauge in Behavior lab., pen, 0.87", total 4.37". Weather cold, overcast with showers accompanied by strong gusty winds, visibility good. Both yesterday and today noted new sprouting vegetation all over the enclosure, not yet identifiable. Nov. 11. 0955 Serviced rain gauge, 0.37"; total 4.74". Scattered 1/2 can of grain in A-2. Cold rainy weather.
