11:52. Saw gravel south of root area.
14:15 Completed installation of
Foxboro sensors. Blue-ink probe in
brush inserted into 1 qt. oil can so
that end of probe is near open end
of can (within 1"); chiseled 1/2"
slots at about 3/4" intervals in side
of can all around, and placed
can on ground in center of large
Careothus bush with opening facing
about north, end of probe 2"
above ground. Red-ink probe in
grass was taped to under side
of 1"x6" board, slanted from
side of small shelter (18" high)
to two stakes in ground holding
end of board 2" high. Sensor of
probe is 2" above grass in
this position. Make time-check
on Foxboro chart at 2:15 p.m.
