W.J. Francis 1964. 58. Journal. Sept. 11. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda Co. Water hole in the pen still has a little water in the bottom. Refilled water hole & scattered one full can of grain. Sept. 14.. 0810 at Behain lab. pen, weather clear & calm. Top of pen wet with drops of dew (?). Water hole still half-full. Serviced instruments, filled water hole, & spread one can of grain. Sept. 17 0855 at Behair Lab. pen, weather obscured in ST clouds with base 100' below station, visibility 1/4 mile calm. Completed trimming eucalyptus shrubs of shoots going through the top & those overhanging the instrument shelter. Filled water hole & scattered 1/2 can of grain since previous ration was not com- pletely used up. 0940 light wind now sweeping cloud through the area, however no fog-dip, no condensation in the wire of the pen, and no moisture on ground or vegetation. Ended observations at 0945.
