W. J. Francis 1964. 52 Formal. Aug. 12. Strawberry Camps, Alameda County, which were sprang, and returned them to the [illegible] museum. Checked Hygothermograph & cleared a few weeds obstructing view of E-10 corner. Aug. 14. 0805 at Behavir lab. pen. Weather Obscured in heavy stratus, covering Day & hills, rose just off the ground along slope of hill. Visibility 1/4 mile. Light winds. Water pool is dried up. Refilled Scattered grain, & serviced instruments. 1108. Returned to Behavirhal, weather clear moderate southerly west wind moderate turbulence, good vis- ibility. Numerous small birds (gold- fincles, juncos, and song sparrows) bathing in the water hole have al- ready reduced the water level very considerably. Observed from hut until 1132, then refilled water-hole and removed hygothermograph for adjustment. Aug. 16. 1915 at Behavir lab. pen. Weather clear and calm. Water hole nearly dried up, a little free water in the bottom. Sun is clear of the enclosure structure, still shining on nearby trees.
