Aug. 3. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County.
0930. Weather at Behavior Lab. pen overcast
ST, thin showing suns disc, base
200' above station. Moderate SE'y
wind with slight to moderate turbulence.
Clouds began breaking abt 1000 and
sky was clear by 1030, when I
left the station. Serviced mouse
traps, taking 7 Microtus (total
34), and reset.
Aug. 4. 1005 at Behavior Lab. pen,
weather clear, light wind with slight
turbulence. Serviced mouse traps,
spradd additional grain. Took 6
Microtus total now 40. Cleaned,
re-baited, & reset all traps (ex-
cept one broken), left at 1045.
Aug. 5. 0900 Checked quail & talked
with personnel at the "Little Farm" in
Tilden Park, then drove through
Wildcat Canyon to check quail.
1015 at Behavior Lab., weather
clear & very warm, moderate wind
with slight turbulence. Serviced
mouse traps, took 6 Microtus
(total 46). Cleaned E'N corner
of brush & obscuring weeds. Left
