W. J. Francis 1964 35. Journal. April 29. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. Commenced fog-drip with ground cover quite wet under eucalyptus, open glass sometimes quite dry. At 0925, after walking through area to the west of the Behavior lab., scattered one can of grain and filled the water hole in the pen. May 1. 1255 Weather at Behavior lab. Variable CV averaging 7/10, moderate to fresh westerly winds, moderate turbulence. Serviced rain gage & scattered another can of grain. (Rain 0.08") May 4. 1055 Weather at Behavior lab. Cloudy with 9/10 CV, light to moderate southerly wind, moderate turbulence; occur showers last 36 hours. (Rain 0.17") May 6. 1850 At Behavior lab. pen, sun - shine still over half the top of the pen, ground surface entirely in shadow. Weather 2/10 AS and CI, light SWly wind with slight turbulence, good visibility. Scattered a can of grain and filled water-hole, commenced observing from the hut at 1855.
