W. J. Francis 1964. 34. Journal April 25 Saturday, Strawberry Can- yon, Alameda County. Pen in the Behavior Lab. was not visited due to illness in last 12 days. Serviced wire summo - hygrothermograph had stopped Wed. afternoon with loss of 3 days record. At 1600 scattered one can of grain and filled water hole, which was dry. Weather clear; light wind, slight tur- bulence. Vegetation still growing well, although recent showers brought only slight rain (0.03" in the rain gage today). Several thistles flowering at 3' height, but greases much predominant. April 26. Changed to Pacific Daylight Saving Time Today. 1909 at Behavior Lab. pen, weather clear & calm, water remains in water hole. Sun remains on surrounding trees, but pen structure completely in the shade. April 29. Weather at Behavior Lab. locally overcast with thick stratus covering the hills, bare 1000' above station. Moderate to fresh winds with moderate turbulence, generally southerly direction here.
