W. J. Francis 1964. 23, Journal. March 9, Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County no turbulence. Serviced instruments at 0925, & scattered one full can of grain. 0955 checked weather at Dropisatin Point on San Pablo Ridge: overcast, but much thinner, more water on pavement indicating a much greater precipitation. March 10. 0900 Weather at Behavior Lab. clear, very light wind, no turbulence. Set 30 live-traps for mice inside the pen. 1700 Weather the same except for high CI increasing. Serviced the live-traps, observed quail from 1720 until March 11. 1715. Weather at Behavior Lab, overcast with sc, As. threatening rain, wind fresh with strong tur- lulence. Serviced mouse traps (II Microtus and Reithrodontmys) and reset. March 12. 0825 Weather overcast As with occl breaks, calm, good visibility. Serviced rain gage (0.56") and traps. Took one shrew in addition to usual mice.
