March 6. 0710 Weather overcast SW and
SE, light winds, intermittent light
drizzle. Made a circuit of the area
but no sign of quail. A hawk
was chasing sparrows on the hillside,
and fresh bobcat (?) droppings
seen in the hill above the Davis house.
Returned at 0810. Left Hastings at
0915 (mileage 51934), by way of Solar
to Paso Robles Airport, thence south
to Creston and to east west end of
Cornatti Canyon. Observed quail areas
up a side canyon near the pine
