W.J. Francis 1964 16. Journal Feb. 23. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. 1200 Checked traps in Behavior Lab pen no results. Reset, sinking the water pan flush with the ground and weighting it with a rock. Feb. 24. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. 0920 Weather at Behavior Lab. overcast ST, base about 200 ft. above station, light wind with slight turbulence, visibility about 5 miles. Serviced traps and weather instruments. Feb. 25. 12/10. Serviced traps, then removed large grain trap from the Behavior Lab. pen, reset mouse traps. Spread 1 can of grain in areas A3-A4- and D-4, and filled the water hole. Weather clear, moderate wind with slight turbulence. Left station 1250. Feb. 27. Wildcat Canyon, Contra Costa County. 0920 to 1100 made trip up eastern branch of Wildcat Canyon almost to the road on San Pablo ridge, returned on the opposite side of this branch. Weather clear, moderate easterly wind rather cool.
