W. J. Francis 1964 Journal. Jan. 17. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda Co. 0900 Serviced trap #1, and rain gage in the pen (0.18"), scattered one can of grain in the pen. 1610. Serviced traps, then left both open, unset, unbaired. Weather: intermittent light drizzle from ST overcast, fresh winds with moderate turbulence. Jan. 18. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. 1040. Serviced rain gage (0.52"), Weather overcast Cu + Sc, with shower beginning, moving in from the South. Moderate wind, slight turbulence. Removed both traps. By the time these were loaded at 1120 shower was ended, sky 7/10 broken up Sc and some Ac, clearing rapidly from the west. Jan. 19. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. 1300 Serviced rain gage in Behavir lab. pen (0.69"). Weather obscured in ST overcast, with base est. 400' below the station; light drizzle. Wind light with slight turbulence to fresh with moderate gusts, westerly; stronger in exposed parts of area.
