Visited trap with 1 can of chick chow inside the pen. Last night's rain .07". Weather clear, very light wind, excellent visibility. 7615 Serviced trap & left unset. Jan. 6. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. 0825 Weather at Behavior Lab: overcast. AC and AS with breaks; lowest layer estimated at 600 feet; good vis- ilibility. Very light winds, no tur- bulence. Noted that the tips of the grass in the quail enclosure is turning yellow, either from cold or drought. Serviced weather in- struments and scattered one can of grain in and around the unset trap in the pen. Left station at 0900. Jan. 7. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda Co. 0945 At Behavior Lab: pen. Weather clear; light wind locally with moderate turbulence; fresh northerly winds in exposed locations. Serviced rain gage. Removed trap from
