Dec. 3, 1963. Left Berkeley, Alameda
County, at 0954 for Hastings Natural
History Reservation, Monterey County,
Starting mileage 48223. Arrived at
the Reservation (main gate) at 1557,
having stopped for visits and to
buy chick chew for bait. Baited
the two traps near the gate & set
them, then proceeded to the H.O.
area and set and baited the 4
traps in that area. I also set
up the new trap on the flat
just above the Davis house, but
discovered I had left the entrance
funnel in Berkeley. Baited the
area around this trap. In the
evening I went over the banding
records for 1951-52, finding, as I
had suspected, a difference between
the number of different individuals
as compared to the number of trappings,
in the different sex & age categories.
