McMillan Ranch, San Luis Obispo Co. 0915 Checked the trap above Marian Spring, then looked over the ridge to the south with Dan McMillan to scent quail locations, returned to the Ranch house about 1120. Again checked the trap about 1700 just before sunset, then drove over the ranch to check cover. Nov. 1. McMillan Ranch San Luis Obispo Co. 0900 Checked the trap above Marian Spring then reset it. Walked over the ridge while Dan McMillan checked lower Portuguese Canyon with the dog to locate quail coveys. Left the Ranch at 1050, mileage 47284, and arrived at Hunter Liggett Military Reservation at 1217, mileage 47362.
