W. J. Francis 1963. 120 Journal. Oct. 8. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. refilled water hole 0820 to 0840. Weather overcast SC, base est 3000' or higher, with sun beginning to break through. Very light wind, no turbulence. Oct. 9. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. at 0815 checked the trap, then left it unset. Made instrument check in very stable conditions - 58 1/2°F. and 100% humidity all locations. Weather obscured in status with base est. 200' below the station; cumulo SC and CU with breaks as seen from the city below. Very light wind with slight turbulence, ground surface moist, but not saturated, four showers last night. Oct. 11. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. 0810 Weather at Behavior Lab. 8/10 CU over the hills, clearing over the bay, calm, ground very wet from last night's rain of 1.55". Trapped & banded birds in the pen. Yesterday's storm knocked down both tall weeds and some of the eucalyptus: in B-7, the central stem was knocked down,
