The bait remaining consisted almost entirely of the smaller seeds in the mixture. Sept. 30. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. At Behavior lab. pen at 0820 serviced trap and instruments, refilled water hole. Weather overcast ST base just below the station, visibility 1/2 mile. Fog drip from eucalyptus trees. Oct. 1. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda Co. 0820. Checked trap in Behavior lab. pen and left closed, with a full can of pigeon grains scattered in and around it; broadcast another can in the center of the pen; filled water hole. Weather clear and warming with fresh NE winds and moderate turbulence. 1202 Left Berkeley (mileage 46075) and arrived Hastings Reservation about 1700 (mileage 46254). Purchased 25 lbs.
