Strawberry Canyon Alameda Co. 0830 at Behavior Lab: weather clear and calm, very heavy dew on the ground and dripping from the wire netting on top of the pen. No birds in the trap outside the pen. serviced instruments, water-hole, and food pan. Sept.25. Strawberry Canyon Alameda Co. 0830 at Behavior Lab: weather clear and warm moderate to fresh NO wind with slight turbulence. No birds in the trap outside the pen. Observed birds in the pen until 0908, then filled the water hole. Sept.26. Strawberry Canyon Alameda Co. at Behavior Lab at 1430. Weather clear & very hot (temp. at grass level 110°), light wind with no turbulence, after strong winds in early morning. Released walk-in trap inside the pen in C-7, baited but left unset. Checked temp. readings.
