Aug. 23. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County
1016 at Behavin halr pen. Weather
overcast, ST base about 300' above the
station, visibility 3 miles, light wind
with slight turbulence, exceptional
occasional gusts of moderate wind
with strong turbulence. At 1038 sun
broke through for only a second.
1106 serviced & reset trap, and
left at 1116.
Aug. 24. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County.
8055. at Behavin halr pen. Weather
overcast with ST blanketing Bay side
of the hills, thin enough so that
sun can occasionally be seen, and
extending 600 feet below the station,
generally remaining 100 feet above
the surface. Visibility 1/2 to 2 miles.
Light wind, little or no turbulence.
Serviced trap outside the pen and
left it sunset. First bright sunshine
broke through at 0932. At 1058
the clouds were burning off rapidly, with
sunshine general in the pen. Ended
observations at 1006.
