Weather clear, light to moderate southerly wind, slight turbulence. Aug. 18. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. 0850 at Behavior lab pen; weather clear (no early morning ST anywhere in the area), very light wind. The lower (SE) half of the pen is largely in shade of nearby trees. Ended observations at 1015; all of the pen in full sunshine except lower (southeast) edge. Aug. 19. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. 0838 at Behavior lab pen, weather clear, light to moderate wind with slight turbulence. Slightly over half the pen in shade of nearby trees. Serviced instruments, 0940 - 1000, than made another unsuccessful search for nest signs in D-8, where Silver Bred was first seen. Aug. 20. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. 1500 started observing from hut in Behavior lab. pen after filling water hole and spreading 1 can of Pigeon Grains. Weather clear, light wind with
