At the Behavior lab pen about 1500,
no watch to keep accurate time.
Weather clear, light to moderate
southerly wind, slight turbulence.
Aug. 18. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County.
0850 at Behavior lab pen; weather clear
(no early morning ST anywhere in the
area), very light wind. The lower (SE)
half of the pen is largely in shade of
nearby trees. Ended observations at
1015; all of the pen in full sunshine
except lower (southeast) edge.

0838 at Behavior lab pen, weather
clear, light to moderate wind with
slight turbulence. Slightly over half
the pen in shade of nearby trees.
Serviced instruments, 0940 - 1000,
than made another unsuccessful
search for nest signs in D-8, where
Silver Bred was first seen.
