At Beharin lab pen at 1730. Weather:
clear light easterly wind with slight
turbulence. Observed until 1830
then filled water-hole; noted
grain still unwatered in the pen.
Left station at 1837.
Aug. 12. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County.
0855 At Beharin lab pen. Weather:
sky obscured with ST above and below
station, relatively thin with sun
showing through at times; visibility
1/4 to 1/2 mile, light wind with no
turbulence. Serviced instruments,
set modified Bailey trap and baited
it, and commenced observations
from the hut at 0922. 0930
Bright sunshine in the pen as
the ST is rapidly burning off. By
1030 wind increased to moderate
with light turbulence. 1100 Ended
observations in order to enter pen
for botanical specimens and
left at 1135.
