W.J. Francis 1963 81. Journal. July 6. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda Co. 1600 Weather: Heavy SC and CU over coast and hills, clear over the bay. at the Beharin lab, 8 to 9 tenths sky cover, est. base 1000' above the station. Light to moderate wind with moderate turbulence, good visibility. 1655: Entered pen to cut weeds for 15 minutes, checked instruments, filled water hole, and spread 1 can of Pigeon Grains. Leaving at 1715, clouds were nearly solid overcast and lowered to cover to top of Grizzly Peak, and sun completely obscured to the west. July 7. Serviced instruments in Be- havin Lab. pen at 0900. July 14. Serviced instruments in Be- havin Lab. pen at 1820. Weather clear and calm. Water had dried up in pool, but was still available as a trickle from the hose end and small puddles in upper part of channel. Filled water hole, and scattered a can of hen clean.
