W.J. Francis 1962. June 27. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda Co. [illegible] 1915 Weather has been overcast nearly all day, except for a period of partial clearing in late after- noon. On the Behavin Lab., sky now entirely overcast base estimated about 500' above station, moderate wind with moderate turbulence (more turbulence noted on the western exposure of the ridge on the way up here). June 28. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. at Behavin Lab. pen at 0730. Weather clear, light wind moderately turbulent. Line of ST clouds visible over coastal hills to the SW, and few remnants of SC over Oakland hills to the SE. Only patchy sunshine now covering about 1/4 of the ground area in the pen; light dew on grass & low weeds. 0745 Set modified trap in C-6. 1115. Wind has become moderate to fresh, still moderately turbulent. 1200 . 1240 Chased quail chicks which had escaped from pen and examined fence. After lunch prepared 1/4" mesh hardware cloth to close gaps around the
