June 16. Sunday. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. 1925 Weather clear with few thin clouds, but heavy ST over bay + coastal mountains. Calm + warm. Vegetation in the behavior lab pen is beginning to dry, especially low clover which is quite dried where frost sets, and almost so in the erect plants. Wild oats are also quite dry, the grasses still green, and Melilotus at the peak of its growth. June 17. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda Co. 0857 Weather at Behavior Lab clear, flat calm, quite warm. 1910 Weather at Behavior Lab: ST covering the hills from the west, with this station just about at the edge, cumulo intermittent in the pen, with visibility down to 50 yards at such times.
