Checked instruments at 0845; left pen at 0900. Left anophoney trap set. 1950 Weather at Behavin Lab still overcast, with thick st, base several hundred feet below the station, visibility less than ~~50. yards in the pen. May24, Fri. Left Berkeley 0926, mileage 38,970. King City 1214 (39,124) to 1228. Thence to McMillan Ranch, ser- viced weather instruments at 1500, and drove via Gillis Canyon Road and Kern County Route 101k to Hornstead Project in Devil's Den area of Kern County, arriving at 1622, mileage 39,235.
