W.J. Frances 1963. 48. Journal. May 20, Strawberry Canyon Alameda Co. 1900 Weather almost the same clouds & wind having persisted all day. Visibility slightly improved still less than 100 yards at the Behavior Lab pen. 1920. Spread a can of pigeon grain & set modified Bailey traps near water hole. 148 Turbulence appears to be increased over this morning, with occasional strong gust bending the eucalyptus shrubs over and ruffling the low herbaceous plants. May 21. Tuesday. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. 1715 Weather at Behavior lab overcast 57 with station just at the cloud base - fair horizon-tal visibility, but tops of trees obscured by cloud. Moderate wind with light to moderate turbulence. Serviced instruments & left at 1748 May 22. Wed. Strawberry Canyon, Ala-meda County. On Behavior Lab pen at 1918. Weather overcast with breaks, first sunshine in last 3 days breaking through about 1900 as I drove up the hill. Sun was already too low to touch the pen.
