S(triplanena) sirmata (G..z.)
Fig. 61,
This shell = Strph. subcata.
New name for sirmata desired.
Curcularia lindsonia (M.z.) p.208
Pyramid elongated; sides equal or inegual; transverse furrows meet in the middle of a face at an angle of 130°. The edges of a side diverge at an angle of about 25°. Both the transverse and longitudinal radial striae are stronger than those of the C. Trent merens; there being more than twice as many in the latter as in the species under consideration. Our markings have a general resemblance to the C. Trent merens, excepting that they are much craser and the pupil is much larger.
