Maclean 1964 Journal writing, skinning - and generally getting caught up on little things. After lunch went out with Stevens to help him move traps, then spent remains of afternoon bird watching. Saw group of shorebirds feeding near N. Meadow Lake- collected 5, inc. 2 imm. white-rumps, Then, across to Holmes' Morass. Saw Peregrine Falcon again near CGS. Collected 3 imm. buff-breasts at Leveelyn's Wair (CRBTL Project). Observed feeding, then returned. After dinner, lay down for an hour or so, and woke up at 11:00 P.M.. Got up and put up 2 buffies (#328+329), then finished cleaning two skulls and wrote notes. Beautiful weather hoy - actually worked for a while in shirt-sleeves, until it supposedly got cold around 4:00 P.M.. Today the ice finally went out - all kinds of open water now, unless the wind shifts. It is now getting almost dark for nearly 3 hours.
