Maclsa 1964 Journal and doing a man's job getting the beer through the ice. They took us up to their camp of 5 tents, where we had tea and crackers. They were here fishing for whitefish and hunting caribou. Baowatler has done the caribou hunting, but a number of fish, ca. 1/2 ft. long, were drying on a line. Visited for a while, then left for home about 9:30 P.M. Followed the weasel tracks home, which made traveling much easier. Arrived home at 12:15 - pretty darn hungry and tired. Ate and fell into the rack. 4 August Barrow, Alaska Woke up somewhat later than usual with a headache. Spent the morning writing notes and starting on yesterday's birds. In the afternoon clocked out a weasel and went out to ATCS to pull Stevens' jeep out of the mud. Was planning to stay out and check Pitelka's Plot, et, but when the snow started staying on the ground, tossed off and came in. Sat out the storm in the evening putting up more birds and B.S.'up with
