MacLean 1966 30 August Barrow, Alaska Began the job of packing for departure. Rolled all of the specimens in paper tubes and ordered a shipping box. Next began sorting and packing other gear. This job always takes much longer than expected. In the afternoon decided to go out and shut down the Tanglefoot traps. Piled into the wedgel .... and couldn't start it. All mechanic-types were working on loading the Coast Guard icebreaker for a trip to the ice islands, so we never did get it started. Went back to packing, then spent the evening in town. 31 August Barrow, Alaska
