also found Muscio (?) pupae - singly in the soil. these were saved for identification. ate lunch here, then moved on toward Skroawik. A few pectorals around and occasional reo-backs (both adults and immatures) - but not too much bird activity. Drove to lake West of Skroawik and repeated funora digging with about the same results. Collected a total of 20 Tipula larvae for the Day. the funora has definitely changed color. This was, I think, a very green year and green remains, however the brown color greatly predominates. On the way into the village turned many drums without finding a cardio. I think they must have gone into the ground, as found earlier today. These drums looked like they should have (or have had) beetles. Upon returning measured the Tipula larvae (relaxed, in water) to get a size distribution. Found average 21.9 mm (17-26). May try repeating at intervals next season to
