got Niko off for Medoe River -
ostensibly to help with departure, but
actually more to see the fall colors.
Burned a ride into town, and
after Breakfast at Edna's, walked
over to Browerville and our Browerville
Ridge. Saw more Dowitchers than
anything - some pectorals and red-backs,
all were feeding in exposed pond
bottom situations. Continued to
Village Ridge, then to Voth Area,
and eventually to camp. Saw one
group of ca. 6 immature Golden Plovers
in Voth Area. Tundra is still
quite wet, with a surprising amount
of green left in it.

bill length which placed them below
the feeding stratum of pectorals and
red-backs - but probably same
type of Chironomios were taken,
Bought some more ivory, etc.
from jolly Jack's Emporium, then
went into Barrow, had some of
Beverly's Caribou stew, and
delivered James to Wien tour bus.
Relief! Spent the evening celebrating.
