Birnirk. Saw a large number of
Turnstones, nearly in Fall plumage
along the beach and by brackish
ponds at Birnirk. A moderate number
of semi-pale and a few red-back
immatures were at Birnirk. Still
many Phalaropes along the ocean.
Ate a picnic lunch, then drove
our to the turnora via U.S.C.+G.S.
Station. Papaver, surprisingly, was

peckards, golden-plovers and a

Drove to South side of Wohlslag

Ate a late dinner at Vinnell, then
spent the evening in the lab

spends the night.
