MacLean 1966 didn't gain conference until after 5:00, and didn't learn much then. There is a chance for tomorrow. Went out for a while into Drum area. Found 1 caribou and 2 stepplines in pitfalls, but carcasses produced another 7 caribous. After Dinner went out toward gasoline ridge in cold intermittent rain. Saw very little - a baird feeding along a pond edge, semi-pale w/ young and golden plover w/ young South of Micro-ller. Came in and wrote notes and looked at stomachs for the rest of the evening. 2 August Barrow, Alaska Went out in the morning to check pitfalls - 1 caribou - then continued on to area South of Smilepuk to roll barrels.
