Maclean 1966 conspicuous. After an hour or so drove on to Tanglefoot II. Dropped Niko off by P's Plot en route. Changed slats, then picked up Niko on the way back in for date dinner. After evening repast went out to try for more Pedicia, but weather had turned bum - cold and foggy - and the beasts were not to be seen. Searched until my back gave out then came in with little to show for the effort. Barrow, Alaska Weather better. Spent the early morning counting yesterday's tanglefoot strips. They are really covered this time, and counting is a slow process. After a while showered and drove in to town with Merle Solomon to observe Ewa and her "Help Start" class. A lot of fun - good kids. After school walked out onto the tundra East of the village airstrip. There is a surprising amount of good unobstructed tundra here. I guess eventually people will be forced to start building houses here. Mostly old (well vegetated) polygonal ground - right
