Checked Pitelka's Plot and walked
ridge near fertilizer plot for sign of
Buff Breasts then went across to
gaslie ridge and searched for Buff
Breasts here. Returned to Wannigan
at 3:00 A.M. and spent night here.
20 July
Barrow, Alaska
Made it for breakfast, then went
back to bar 'till 9:00. Went out
with Logsdon and one of visitors to
check traps. Again walked ridge near
fertilizer plot .... nothing!
Started writing notes in afternoon,
and passed out in chair. Woke up in
time to finish notes before dinner.
Took evening off to go up to
Bienik. At least 10 flocks of
c.a. 150-250 rio king criers plus
numerous smaller flocks of criers
and old squaws passed. Over.
Duck camp cleaned up. Afterwards,
small party (very small) with
aforementioned visitors, until ... late.
