MacLean 1966 this to kenny - two in one Day. Went to Beck's shop next to raise hell about chicken wire and finally got some action on that. Had to spend most of the darn afternoon waiting on a weasel so that Tom could run his traplines. Finally, after much aggravating B.S. - we're back to 584, which is the one Tom left out by traplines IV + VI on Sunday. Gummed up 6 new tanglefoot slats, and after dinner went out to place them. Put them in pairs, oriented perpendicularly- 2 on Pitelke's Plot - ridge top, 2 in ridge swale, and 2 on Central Marsh. Central Marsh slats were accumulating animals as soon as they were placed in the grounds. Fog and rain tried to clear early in the evening, but gave up the attempt and rolled in worse than ever. Finished laying the slats at 9:30 and came in to write notes and prepare for a clear, sunny day tomorrow. 8 July Barrow, Alaska Got - amazing - an 8:00 A.M. start with Tom and Niko Hedoes for repeat look at area S.W. of Barrow Village.
