Meelean 1966 across Holmes' Marass. Collected a ♀ pectoral from a group of 5 - brood patches refeathering - and 2 ♀ phalaropes from a group of 5. Pectorals and phalaropes were conspicuous in Marass in flexible groups. Met Tom on the ridge and drove in long enough to grease up a replacement set of tanglefoot traps. Took Jim Gessman along when we (Tom and I) went out to make the switch. I can see that a carrying rack is needed to prevent many trips between the wrase and the trap locations. Caught adult crane flies this time, as well as feathers of an juvenile longspur. Looked around local tundra with Gessman, then came in for dinner. In the evening Niko and Tom went to the movie while I lay down for a few minutes ...... and woke up at 11:00 P.M. Then did laundry and wrote notes until late rack time. 6 July Barrow, Alaska Counted tanglefoot traps in the morning while Niko and Tom went out to traplines, then wrote June Progress Report. Had to wait for
