Maclean 1966 have been in area are now partly at edge of Central Marsh and partly near SE corner of Pitelka's Plot. Collected 2- one wl greatly regressed testis, other going down. No action from these fellows. Also a flock of golden plovers in the area - at least 10. Could not get close to these. Niko and I each found a Golden Plover nest - 4 and 3 eggs. After looking around that area crossed Wohlslag Slough and drove to ridge there. Old fox den at corner of ridge is now occupied by 3-legs (red fox) and at least (and probably only) one young. Got a good look at both of these, but no Edward. Drove along edge of ridge toward Lagoon, then stopped and walked. Shorebird activity low. Shot a ♂ and ♀ phalarope (not paired). Saw a few red-backs and a pair of plover sin walking around largest lake. 2 egg loan nest by SE corner of lake - neither adult in sights. Finally quit and came in, picking up Niko en route.
