have been in area are now partly at
edge of Central Marsh and partly near
SE corner of Pitelka's Plot. Collected 2-
one wl greatly regressed testis, other going
down. No action from these fellows.
Also a flock of golden plovers in the
area - at least 10. Could not get close
to these. Niko and I each found a
Golden Plover nest - 4 and 3 eggs.
After looking around that area
crossed Wohlslag Slough and drove
to ridge there. Old fox den at
corner of ridge is now occupied by 3-legs
(red fox) and at least (and probably
only) one young. Got a good look
at both of these, but no Edward.
Drove along edge of ridge toward
Lagoon, then stopped and walked.
Shorebird activity low. Shot a ♂
and ♀ phalarope (not paired). Saw
a few red-backs and a pair of
plover sin walking around largest
lake. 2 egg loan nest by SE
corner of lake - neither adult in
sights. Finally quit and came in,
picking up Niko en route. He reported
similar success there.
