Returned to camp and started there in funnels, than drank a beer before dinner. After evening repast finished up stomachs, then went out to Gasline Ridge with Tom Custer, our lemming trapper. Found a red-back nest 6 feet West of I - 0.8; a pre-staked nest. Saw a good chase of 2 or Pectorals after a 4. Heard a Dowitcher displaying, and saw 3 birds flying. Also saw a Dowitcher flying over drum area. Walked down to pond area South of ridge, but no phalaropes - in fact, not much anything. Took 12 more SOD samples, then returned and dropped these into Berlese's.
